I have the older version of this machine. The engine on the older model is rated at 8hp. Purchased this unit in 2009. Has performed really properly over two Wisconsin winters with record setting snowfall. Begins on the first pull every time. 208 cc OHV engine runs cool and is highly fuel efficient. Huge tires give fantastic traction. The only part I was somewhat disappointed in was the plastic chute. Not as tough seeking as a metal chute. Performs well although. Only bogs down in the heavy wet snow at the finish of the driveway.
